My journey with X-Team has been filled with adventure. When I first joined X-Team as a Technical Recruiter, I knew I was stepping onto promising ground, but I could never have guessed how extraordinary it would become. At X-Team, I found a platform to express my ambitions, with a leadership team that listens and a community that amplifies my efforts.
Take, for example, the X-Outposts: I've been fortunate enough to travel to the X-Outposts in Santa Marta in Colombia, Mendoza in Argentina, and most recently Mérida in Mexico, which happened right when I was promoted to the position of Talent Operations Manager in X-Team.
Amid taking up new responsibilities and training someone for my previous role, I found myself worried about how I would juggle all this during the Mérida X-Outpost. But when I announced my new role during a dinner at the X-Outpost, I was met with cheers and shared joy—a testament to the supportive environment at X-Team.
In Mérida, we found the perfect blend of work and play. We worked from diverse coffee shops, encouraged each other to take breaks, and made the most of our free time to explore the city. From visiting the ancient Mayan city of Uxmal to enjoying drinks by the pool, every day was a new adventure. We celebrated Juan’s birthday, made a memorable visit to my favorite bar in Mérida (la Negrita) and even got an invitation to Cristina's birthday in Brazil!
Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and so did the Outpost in Mérida. Leaving was a bittersweet experience, but the heartfelt goodbyes made the separation easier. The hugs, the laughter, the shared memories, and the promise of meeting again kept our spirits high.
Now, I look forward to the next Outpost in Barcelona and the X-Summit in Brazil, where I will get to meet over 150 X-Teamers all at once. The journey at X-Team has been more than just professional growth—it's been about making connections, building friendships, and creating unforgettable memories. And I can't wait to see what lies ahead.
