It's vitally important to understand that it's not just remote work that makes a non-linear workday possible. It's remote work combined with asynchronous communication, few meetings, and a culture where you're not judged how you get the work done, as long as you get it done.

The non-linear workday also doesn't mean vacation. As a remote worker, you still have to work and you're still expected to meet certain deadlines and quality standards. But it doesn't matter where you do it or how long it took you. It's a new paradigm of work, one that gives you the freedom to create the lifestyle you want.
